Die Schattenseiten und die Gefahren der E-Mobilität werden verschwiegen
Es heißt, Elektroautos und batteriebetriebene Fahrräder seien saubere Energie und ohne schädliche Abgase. Doch wie kommt man an die beiden elementaren Rohstoffe der Batterien – Kobalt und Lithium? Dazu ist unklar, wie die Feuerwehr die brennenden E-Autos löschen soll. Warum wird E-Mobilität dennoch staatlich gefördert und die Bevölkerung über die Gefahren und Kosten nicht informiert?

Elektroautos und die boomenden batteriebetriebenen Fahrräder werden oft gleichgestellt mit dem Bild von sauberer Energie und Fahrzeugen ohne schädliche Abgase. Elektrofahrzeuge haben jedoch einige unbeachtete Schattenseiten.
Für die Herstellung ihrer Batterien sind zwei Rohstoffe elementar notwendig: Kobalt, das größtenteils aus kongolesischen Minen stammt, und Lithium, welches hauptsächlich in Südamerika in extrem trockenen Regionen abgebaut wird. Da für die Gewinnung von Lithium erhebliche Mengen an Wasser erforderlich sind, gefährdet dies die Existenz vieler Menschen, die für Ackerbau und Viehzucht auf Wasser angewiesen sind. Kobalt aber wird in kaum gesicherten und daher stets einsturzgefährdeten und für die Arbeiter mithin höchst gefährlichen Minen abgebaut. Diese, darunter viele Kinder, arbeiten mit bloßen Händen und ohne Schutzmasken, obwohl das Einatmen von Kobalt-Staub lebensbedrohliche Lungenerkrankungen verursacht - was die Minenbetreiber des im Westen sitzenden Großkapitals aber wenig kümmert.
Schließlich gibt es noch das Problem des Recyclings, denn derzeit werden in Europa nur 5 % aller Batterien recycelt. Nicht recycelte Batterien wiederum stellen eine erhebliche Gefahr dar, da aus diesen giftige Gase und Flüssigkeiten austreten können.
Dennoch fördert die deutsche Regierung den Kauf von Elektrofahrzeugen mit 1,2 Milliarden Euro um der E-Mobilität zum Durchbruch zu verhelfen.
Ein ebenfalls gravierenderes Problem der in diesen E-Fahrzeugen üblicherweise verbauten Lithium-Ionen-Batterien ist, dass diese bei einem Brand nur unter Sauerstoff-Abschluss gelöscht werden können. Da die Feuerwehren derzeit in keiner Weise mit den dafür benötigten Spezialfahrzeugen ausgestattet sind, können brennende Elektrofahrzeuge bis dato gar nicht gelöscht werden. Sie stellen somit ein nicht unkalkulierbares Gefahrenpotential dar. Die Feuerwehren werden Millionen investieren müssen, um diese künstlich heraufbeschworene Sicherheitslücke schließen zu können. Da die Bevölkerung nicht offen und ehrlich über die Gefahren und die tatsächlichen Kosten der E-Mobilität informiert wird, geht es offensichtlich wieder einmal darum, mit möglichst geringem Widerstand ein politisches Ziel durchzusetzen: Nämlich die national vorangetriebene Ablösung des Verbrennungsmotors und die damit verbundene abermalige Schwächung des Wirtschaftsstandortes Deutschland. Bezahlen wird diese unverantwortliche Politik am Ende der Steuerzahler.
