Foundations – the instruments of power of the wealthy aristocracy
Did you know that foundations can also be worth billions and therefore very powerful? That‘s why it's important to pay close attention to what foundations worth billions use their money for. Thomas Röper, operator of the media-critical portal Anti-Spiegel, reveals in his book „Inside Corona“, among other things, what ulterior goals are often pursued with foundations and NGOs.

We all know foundations – whether they are scientific, religious or cultura, foundations for the protection of nature and animals or simply non-profit, i. e. foundations for the public benefit.
Did you know that foundations can also be worth billions and therefore be extremely powerful? The richest foundation is probably the internationally active Danish Novo Nordisk Foundation with estimated assets of 73 billion dollars. It focuses on medical treatment and research.
As the saying goes: Money makes the world go round! In other words: Money means power! It is therefore important to take a close look at what billion-dollar foundations are using their money for. Establishing a so-called philanthropic foundation may be a clever move to exercise power on the one hand and give oneself an air of largesse and altruism.
Thomas Röper operates the media-critical internet portal ‘Anti-Spiegel’. In his book “Inside Corona”, he reveals how it works and underlying goals are often pursued when founding foundations and NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations):
Purpose 1: The foundation as a means of tax savings
“Let’s suppose that you have a big company that makes millions or billions in profit. That means that you would have to pay millions or even billions in taxes. You don’t like the idea. So, what is to be done? Quite simply, you set up a foundation and transfer your assets to this foundation. The foundation is tax-exempt and you save millions or even billions in taxes that you would otherwise have to pay annually. The downside is that the money no longer belongs to you but to the foundation. However, that’s not a problem, because it is not important who owns the money but who can dispose of it. An example: If you want to go on vacation to the Maldives, then it is no longer a vacation, rather a study tour or a business trip to promote international understanding, so the foundation pays for the trip.
[…] In real life, this is precisely what Bill Gates, George Soros, Rockefeller and all the other philanthropists have done: dodge taxes and use the money for political influence”
If you want to learn more about these ‘philanthropists’ we recommend that you read the book Inside Corona.
Purpose 2: Increase of assets through the foundation
Not only can you save money with foundations, but increase the amount as well. Thomas Röper reveals how this can be done, using two prominent examples:
1. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
The foundation was founded in 1999 and owned assets in 2001 amounting to 55 billion US-dollars. According to Thomas Röper, it owned almost 130 billions in 2021, which means it doubled its assets. No matter how much the foundation spends on “charitable purposes”, the money does not decrease, it increases. The Book Inside Corona also uncovers an example, which reveals the calculation with which the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation used its money in the Corona Crisis.
“When Bill Gates bought shares of the then small and unknown company BioNTec in 2019, the media reported that Bill Gates was financially supporting a small and promising business. This didn’t make any sense since it was an investment and not a donation as the media suggested. When someone buys shares, he is not a donator but an investor who ¨bets on the assumption that the company will make a profit in the future and that the share prices will rise.
And when Bill Gates donated 100 million euros at an EU donor conference in May 2020, it was pure Public Relations, because Bill Gates knew that a very large part of these 7.4 billions would flow back to him since BioNTech and Pfizer got a large part out of this fund and he has got shares in both companies. Today we know that BioNtech and Pfizer received the share of the lion. In May 2021, the EU declared that it would exclusively buy vaccines from BioNTech/Pfizer and also announced a purchase order for 1.8 billion vaccine doses. Given the estimated price of 20 dollars per dose, the EU transferred 36 billion to Pfizer and BioNTech. Donating 100 million beforehand for PR reasons gets you a lot of good press coverage and the money comes back anyway.”
It should be added that most of these 7.4 billion euros, which went to the vaccine companies for the purpose of vaccine development, consisted of taxpayers’ money. In other words: the apparently charitable Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has benefited from tax payers’ money!
Open Philanthropy
This NGO was founded by the US IT entrepreneur and billionaire Dustin Moskovitz and his wife Cari Tuna. Although it is the goal of Open Philanthropy – in short Open Phil – “to donate as effectively as possible”, the NGO’s assets were worth an estimated 8.1 million US-dollars in 2014 and increased to almost 28 billion as of 2021.
This NGO also shows in textbook fashion how to increase one’s own capital and still look like a benefactor. Here is another excerpt from “Inside Corona”:
“In 2019 Open Philanthropy had a good idea and facilitated the creation of a company called ‘Sherlock Biosciences’ in January 2019. Open Philanthropy is the lead investor of the company and moreover granted them a donation amounting to 17.5 million dollars. The purpose of this donation in January 2019 was to ‘Support the development of a diagnostic platform to identify all viruses present in a patient sampling.’
The investment and the donation paid off, as Sherlock was the first US company in 2020 to receive approval for a CRISPR-based test for Covid 19.[…] Open Philanthropy had secured the success of the project by lobbying the US Senate.
[…] So it becomes obvious that donations promote the investments to make them profitable. You lobby for a subject, donate money for the research, lobby for the research and simultaneously become engaged in the business, which profits from it all. That’s what it looks like when philanthropists put their money into foundations and then grandiosely save the world.”
We can see that taxpayers’ money was also used here because the costs for the tests were ultimately paid for by the US population as well. The practices described ultimately unmask the hideous face of these so-called non-profit organizations.
There is also the question of whether Open Phil knew precisely what they were doing when they began to invest into the development of the so-called ‘diagnostic platform’ now known as the Covid-19 test. This doesn’t come out of thin air because Open Phil had this glorious idea just about a year before the Corona Pandemic was declared. This clairvoyant move is suspiciously reminiscent of Event 201, the simulation game that predicted the corona epidemic merely a few weeks before it was announced. And – believe it or not: this event was also supported by Open Phil.
The events described show only a fraction of reality and cast a dark shadow over altruistic super-rich people. They have led Thomas Röper to no longer speak of philanthropists, i.e. humanitarians, rather of oligarchs. Because by definition, oligarchs are people who, through their economic power, rule together with a few others. And this is clearly true in the case of Bill Gates, Dustin Moskovitz, George Soros and Co. if one follows the explanations of Thomas Röper:
Their foundations are not altruistic or benevolent but, quite the opposite, sophisticated instruments for the expansion of power and wealth.
