Донирање органа – Да ли мртав човек може донирати жив орган?

Трговина људским деловима тела је више него лукративна и потреба за донираним органима је огромна. Исто тако и зараде…тако да се у Немачкој тема ”Донирање органа”поново интензивно промовише. Међутим, шта би свако, ко услужно завешта своје органе за даљу употребу, требао да зна: органи, потребни за живот, могу се узети само од још живих донатора. Тренутно се у Немачкој поново дискутује о форми пристанка за донирање органа. Следеће критичке информације, које су потребне за доношење једне такве одлуке се уопште не помињу: органи се могу донирати само ако су још живи. Животно важни органи као нпр. срце и плућа, могу бити узети само из живог тела, које дише и има циркулацију. Са одузимањем тих органа, прекида се дисање и циркулација у телу. Човек тада није само мождамо мртав, него – према изворном схватању смрти – дефинитивно мртав. Да би се трансплантација могла извршити а да при том не постоји кривица за убиство, 1968 је комитет за испитивање дефиниције мождане смрти медицинске школе у Харварду, смрт редефинисала и поистоветила са ”неповратном комом”. Тај комитет медицинске школе у Харварду, био је један специјални одбор за испитивање дефиниције мождане смрти. Појам ”иреверзибилна кома” је касније преименована у мождану смрт. Професор др. Рот се критички огласио поводом поистовећења мождане - и коначне смрти: ”Мождана смрт се не може потпуно јасно дијагностиковати […] Потпуна сигурност [...] не може постојати, већ само једна мања или виша прихваћена вероватноћа.” Ова сигурност која недостаје, показује се све више у случајевима, у којима су се кома-пацијенти, са утврђеном можданом смрћу, поново пробудили. Свако, ко се одлучи за донирање органа, мора да зна, да се орган узима од живих људи!
