Der zigfache Multimilliardär und Investor George Soros hat zusammen mit Mastercard Incorporated ein Projekt gestartet, das vorgeblich Migranten, Flüchtlingen und auch solchen, die in ihrer Heimat weltweit Mangel leiden, helfen soll, ihren wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Status zu verbessern. Mastercard Incorporated ist neben VISA eine der beiden großen internationalen Gesellschaften für Kreditkarten. Herzstück dieser sich sozial gebenden Aktion ist das 2015 gegründete Mastercard Aid Network: Es handelt sich um ein Netzwerk von Märkten, die bargeldlos Lebensmittel, Medizin, Unterkunft usw. bereitstellen. Mit aufladbarer Chipkarte und PIN sind diese Leistungen bei lokalen Partnerunternehmen einzulösen. Über einen Touchscreen-Terminal vor Ort kann jeweils die gewünschte Leistung ausgewählt werden. Was zur Auswahl steht, bestimmen die zuständigen privat geführten Unternehmen. In Europa sind die Erfolgsaussichten für dieses Projekt jedenfalls sehr vielversprechend. Der Migrationsstrom reisst nicht ab. Und das soll anscheinend auch unbedingt so bleiben – denn nicht umsonst fordern die von Soros finanzierten Organisationen vehement offene Grenzen. Auf den ersten Blick scheint das Projekt für alle Beteiligten gewinnbringend zu sein: für Soros und die von ihm finanzierten Privatunternehmen und Investoren, denn es entstehen neue Geschäfte und Verteilstellen, die mit Mastercard-Terminals ausgerüstet werden. Für die Zulieferfirmen tut sich ein neuer Absatzmarkt auf. Und die Flüchtlinge und Migranten können gratis einkaufen und – wenn sie wollen- auch irgendwann mal einer Arbeit nachgehen. Dass aber bekanntlich nicht alles Gold ist, was glänzt, somit auch die Mastercard Gold nicht, zeigt das nachfolgende Interview auf, das kla.tv mit Rico Albrecht führte. Rico Albrecht hat zwei Hochschulabschlüsse, in Betriebswirtschaftslehre und Informatik, und blickt auf eine langjährige Unternehmer- und Dozententätigkeit zurück. Seit 2010 ist er Mitglied der wissenschaftlichen Leitung der Wissensmanufaktur (Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung und Gesellschaftspolitik), wo er sich als Systemanalytiker, Autor und Referent schwerpunktmäßig den Themen Geldsystem, Staat und Steuern widmet.
