Swiss vote of 24.11.2024 on national road expansion – A second look

At the end of June 2024, Switzerland reached the mark of nine million inhabitants for the first time. In 1970, there were just over six million and in 2000, seven million. As a result, traffic on national roads has more than doubled since 1990. Massive traffic congestion regularly occurs in various places. In 2023, over 48,000 hours of traffic jams are expected to have been recorded on Swiss motorways. With the so-called "2023 expansion step for national roads", the Federal Council and Parliament want to eliminate the bottlenecks. The referendum was held against this because the expansion of the motorway is overpriced and natural and cultivated land is being lost. As with every vote, the question arises here as to whether there could be other reasons why the expansion of the motorway should be prevented. Since the introduction of the "Agenda 2030" - a UN action program adopted in 2015 - it has been known that the world is to be fundamentally transformed. The Kla.TV program "Agenda 2030 - 17 goals of sustainable destruction" explains how an orchestrated, people-enslaving One World Agenda 2030 is being pursued. One of these goals is to restrict freedom of movement and thus total control: In the name of climate goals, individual transport is being abolished and replaced by self-driving autonomous vehicles. Cities and settlements are being transformed into 15-minute gigacities - complete with radical digitalization and surveillance. Residents can be monitored around the clock in real time. Vehicles driven by people are to be banned from cities and from the streets. Drivers are increasingly being harassed. For example, parking in cities is a real test of patience and driving on the motorway is often associated with traffic jams. Should the expansion of national roads be prevented in order to force drivers to use the railways and into 15-minute cities? People are easier to control on the railways and in cities. People who think differently can be excluded more easily. Self-sufficiency will hardly be possible anymore. Could this be the real reason why the expansion of national roads is to be prevented? Are people - who stand up for sensible use of our resources - being instrumentalized again for the sake of the so-called sustainability goals?
