Nga 17 deri më 20 janar 2023, elita globale nga politika dhe biznesi u takua në Davos për Forumin Ekonomik Botëror vjetor. Forumi Ekonomik Botëror është një fondacion privat zviceran dhe organizatë lobuese. Në takimin e tyre, anëtarët që paguajnë, ekspertët kryesorë të ekonomisë ndërkombëtare, politikanë, shkencëtarë, aktorë socialë dhe gazetarë mblidhen për të diskutuar çështjet aktuale globale. Sipas Wikipedia, forumi financohet kryesisht nga 1000 kompanitë e tij anëtare – zakonisht kompani globale me shitje prej më shumë se pesë miliardë dollarë amerikanë. Revista Manager raportoi më parë: “Forumi Ekonomik Botëror (WEF) së fundmi zbuloi raportin e tij vjetor të rrezikut global. Autorët përmbledhin rezultatet e raportit me fjalinë: “Dekada e ardhshme do të formësohet nga krizat ekologjike dhe sociale, të nxitura nga tendencat gjeopolitike dhe ekonomike.” Klaus Schwab (84), themeluesi i WEF, flet për një krizë të shumëfishtë që Vendimmarrësit janë të mbingarkuar.” A ka nënkuptuar Klaus Schwab me këtë deklaratë se "vendimmarrësit", pra qeveritë e vendeve, nuk do të jenë më në gjendje të përballojnë krizat e ardhshme? Në librin e Klaus Schwab të vitit 2018 "E ardhmja e Revolucionit të Katërt Industrial", juristja Anne-Marie Allgrove shkruan artikullin special "Një grup rregullash të bazuara në të drejtat e njeriut", i cili ju bën të uleni dhe të vini re. Citimi: “Teknologjia hap mundësi të jashtëzakonshme për njerëzit sot, por ne duhet të vazhdojmë t'i kushtojmë vëmendje ndikimit që teknologjia ka te njerëzit, jetën e tyre të përditshme dhe gëzimin e të drejtave të tyre njerëzore. Megjithatë, kjo nuk është më e rezervuar ekskluzivisht për shtetet dhe organizatat ndërkombëtare. Sektori privat duhet të marrë drejtimin këtu.” Përsëri, në gjuhë të thjeshtë: Sipas WEF dhe Klaus Schwab, institucionet e pazgjedhura, d.m.th. jo qeveritë apo ligjvënësit, por organizatat private duhet të marrin "rolin udhëheqës" dhe të vendosin se cilat standarde dhe rregullore zbatohen për teknologjitë moderne që kanë një nivel të lartë potencial për abuzim. Si mundet që korporatat private, të cilat përfitojnë nga teknologjitë e reja para kujtdo tjetër, të marrin drejtimin në zhvillimin dhe respektimin e të drejtave të njeriut? A nuk duhet të jetë kjo detyrë e një shteti kushtetues që nuk udhëhiqet nga lakmia për përfitime, në mënyrë që kjo të zbatohet në fakt për të mbrojtur popullsinë? A nuk është e këshillueshme të mbash një vëzhgim të ngushtë në WEF në mënyrë që Revolucioni i Katërt Industrial i shpallur të mos rezultojë në një heqje të të drejtës totale të popullsisë dhe shtetit?
