German Medical Association delegates decide: Right to education only with corona vaccination - doctors oppose this!

On May 4 and 5, 2021, the 124th German Medical Association’s Congress took place. Their job includes articulating the positions of the medical profession members on current health and sociopolitical issues as well as communicating these to the public. This year the Corona vaccination strategy for children and adolescents was on their agenda. Among other things, the dramatic effects of the lockdown for children and teens were addressed, including - among others - the educational deficits and deficits due to social isolation. The fact that the German Medical Association’s Congress finally addressed the weakest group in society is very welcome. However, the fact that the delegates considered Covid vaccination as the only option to help children and teens regain a normal life is staggering, as they belong to the group that is only very rarely infected with Covid-19. Already though, there is resistance from within their own ranks. The association "Doctors for Individual Vaccination Decisions" resolutely distances itself from the demand of the delegates congress. Dr. Steffen Rabe, the speaker of the association, wrote a short statement concerning the resolution, which we will broadcast here. Other critical physicians joined this statement under the Hashtag #nichtmeinaerztetag (not my congress) and took a stand in their short video messages likewise in opposition to the demanded Corona vaccination for children. It says: "The right to education: daycare and school attendance can only be secured in the winter of 2021/ 2022 with a timely Covid 19 vaccination. Without timely vaccination, especially for younger children, a renewed lockdown for this age group will lead to further, serious negative consequences for the child's psychological development. Families with children will regain equal participation in society only with vaccinated children." End of qoute. We are of course pleased that it has finally been understood what disastrous consequences the current pandemic strategy has for children and young people. The right to education and social participation, however, is an inalienable human right. For far too long, children and young people have been deprived of this right without any real scientific basis. The fact that this basic human right is now linked to a politically desired vaccination decision, the benefit of which for the children themselves is simply lacking and the benefit of which for society is more than questionable ... this demand is outrageous, out of the question and an intolerable presumption on the part of medical colleagues. As physicians we dissociate ourselves from this paper in the strongest possible terms! Schools and daycare centers can, schools and daycare centers must be reopened immediately - without senseless mass tests and without questionable vaccination experiments on children and adolescents.
