On April 16th South Korea’s Defense Ministry announced that North Korea had, quote: “tried to test an unknown type of missile in the southern province of Hamgyong”. They presumed that the launch had failed. It might have been a ballistic missile. A US foreign ministry advisor said that it was probably a ballistic missile, in other words a middle-range missile. Reuters News Agency reported that according to government circles it was highly probable that it was not a long-range missile.

These two examples illustrate well how pictures are used for propaganda: On September 28, 2016 the French delegation to the UN presented an allegedly current photo that was said to display the destruction of a hospital in Aleppo - supposedly caused by the Russian or Syrian air force. But the fact is that this very same picture already surfaced more than 2 years ago, on August 3, 2014 in an article by the German news station n-tv showing attacks and destruction in Gaza.

The German expert on Syria, Professor Günter Meyer said the following to the topic: “I have never experienced anything like this: masses of disinformation. […] All kinds of videos are spread which contain completely false information. Even Reuters News Agency broadcasted a a fake-video, shot in 2008 in Lebanon, airing it as supposed current evidence to the crisis in Syria.” So join in with us in exposing every type of media fraud and malicious journalism. Lies like these can have no influence on alert and clearly thinking people.

Since 2014 she has been to Syria six times, two times with international delegations and four times on her own. Bartlett paid her own trips, she went at her own risk and was therefore able to travel to the parts of the country that she wanted to see. She has been to Aleppo four times, the latest in November 2016, and she spoke in Arabic to the people there. On December 9, 2016, Eva Bartlett spoke at a press conference in the headquarters of the United Nations. Her topic was: “Sovereignty and Peace: Against US Propaganda and Regime Change”.
