Utallige vågne menneskers oplysningsarbejde når ud til flere og flere mennesker. Det er åbenbart en grund til, at YouTube ønsker at redde sit informationsmonopol gennem massiv censur. Den 25. januar 2019 skrev YouTube på sin officielle blog, at de snart ville stoppe med at vise "konspirationsvideoer" i deres anbefalingssystem. YouTube er i øjeblikket den største videoplatform og den næststørste søgemaskine i verden. YouTube blev købt af Google i 2006 og har over 1,9 milliarder aktive brugere hver måned. Hver dag bliver der set over 1 milliard timers YouTube-videoer. YouTube er på vej til at blive verdens største propagandaplatform. Men hvordan? YouTube skrev den 25. januar 2019 i deres officielle blog, at de snart vil stoppe med at vise videoer med såkaldte "konspirationsteorier" i deres anbefalingssystem. Bogstaveligt talt, skrev de: "Vi vil reducere anbefalinger af grænseoverskridende indhold, der kan misinformere brugerne på en skadelig måde. Som videoer, der [...] hævder, at jorden er flad, eller kommer med åbenlyst falske påstande om historiske begivenheder som 9/11." Påståede "konspirationsvideoer" bliver ikke slettet, men skjult. For eksempel vil de ikke længere blive vist i anbefalingslinjen til højre for videoafspilleren eller i andre videoforslagsvisninger. Det er en intervention med massive konsekvenser, da erfaringen har vist, at mindst 40 % af visningerne opnås gennem anbefalinger. Det er på tide at tage stilling: Denne planlagte begrænsning af YouTube er et direkte slag mod undersøgende journalistik og ytringsfrihed og det næste store skridt mod et direkte meningsdiktatur. Kære YouTube-team! Har du aldrig seriøst overvejet uoverensstemmelserne i forbindelse med 9/11? Den officielle version af 9/11 er blevet tilbagevist hundredvis af gange og er i modstrid med alle fysikkens love!
