Unvaccinated as scapegoats - what do the figures say?

“We are experiencing a tyranny exercised by the unvaccinated [...],” raged World Medical Association Chairman Prof. Frank Ulrich Montgomery, MD, on a talk show in early November. [1] How does Mr. Montgomery come to make such a drastic statement in light of the present data on the efficacy and safety of the Corona vaccination? Are the unvaccinated now to be used as scapegoats for the lack of vaccination success? Current figures indicate that around 68% of Germans are double-vaccinated. If we add those who have recovered, we arrive at over 75% of the population. Shouldn't herd immunity have been reached by now? At the beginning of the vaccination campaign, it was still promised that a vaccination coverage of 2/3 of the population would be sufficient to obtain herd immunity. However, a look at the figures in the current weekly report of the Robert Koch Institute’s (RKI) for calendar weeks 43 to 46 (2021) shows that it is not the unvaccinated who ought to be under question, but rather the effectiveness of vaccination. According to the RKI, 56% of currently hospitalized corona patients in the over-60 age group are double- vaccinated. Also among ICU patients, according to the RKI (also in calendar weeks 43 - 46), 46% of those over 60 are “fully immunized” - people who should actually have full “vaccination protection”. And among those who died of or with corona, more than 52% were double-vaccinated among those over 60 years of age, which represents more than 90% of those who died! It is thus evident that vaccination does not protect against severe progression or death. [3] At the same time, the number of deaths following vaccination is increasing dramatically. According to the safety report of the Paul Ehrlich Institute, more than 1,800 people have already died in Germany alone in connection with a Corona vaccination. [4] The argument that vaccinated persons, unlike unvaccinated persons, at least protect other people also needs to be questioned. According to recent studies, published among others in the renowned scientific journal Lancet in October 2021, vaccinated infected persons with 25% even infect other persons slightly more often than unvaccinated infected persons with 23%. [5] If individuals who have been vaccinated do not protect others from infection, there is no justification for the currently envisaged compulsory Corona vaccination. Should it nevertheless be enforced, those who have already been vaccinated will also be affected. It can be assumed that if vaccination is compulsory, regular booster vaccination, i.e. refresher vaccination, will be necessary - for an indefinite period of time. Each time, the risks of severe side effects of vaccination would have to be considered. With all these facts, one has to ask why Prof. Montgomery, a medical doctor who also holds the presidency of the World Medical Association, allows himself to be carried away by such a baseless and discriminatory statement. Vaccinated people who not only position themselves against the unvaccinated on the basis of such statements, but also continue to assume the protective effect of their vaccination, are just as much the victims here as the unvaccinated, who are increasingly marginalized socially and professionally.
