Det lömska med en manipulering är illusionen att man tror att beslutet man har gjort var grundad på egen vilja, medan i verkligheten var beslutet redan bestämd av någon annan. När det gäller manipulering tänker man på första hand på reklam för produkter som ska säljas. De två exemplen som nu följer, visar hur vi på ett helt annat vis blir manipulerade, för att nå ett önskat resultat, men med mycket värre konsekvenser. Exempel nr 1: Konstgjorda skapta medborgarrörelser Medborgarrörelser eller gräsrotrörelser är politiska folkrörelser eller sociala initiativ som stammar från folket. En typisk gräsrotrörelse är t.ex. anti-atomkraft-rörelsen. Nu påvisade Prof. Dr. Mausfeld att det finns företag, som så att säga ”producerar” gräsrotrörelser. Världsledande „gräsrotrörelse-företagen“ är t.ex. det amerikanska företaget Bursen and Marsteller och direkt impact. Dessa företag förmår att skapa en illusion av en spontan gräsrotrörelse. Befolkningen däremot tror att det handlar om en rörelse grundad från folket. På så vis kan konstgjorda protester skapas som vid vissa till synes spontana anti-Trump-demonstrationer efter presidentvalet i USA. Men det kan även vara så att äkta protester sker t.ex. såsom de mot CETA och TTIP, som inte kan stoppas, men som kan ledas i en viss riktning. Exempel nr. 2: Hur en president blir skapad. Den 7/5 2017 valde fransmännen Emmanuel Macron till deras president, trots att hans chans i början var liten, eftersom han var en okänd kandidat. Men vem står bakom denna superlativa framgång? Innan valet presenterade massmedierna Macron som en ung, dynamisk kandidat som skapar hopp för framtiden. Åtföljd av uppenbarliga positivt stigande opinionsundersökningar, skapades intrycket, att Macrons seger inte kunde hejdas. Jerome Fourquet, direktören för opinionsundersökningar vid franska institutet för offentligt yttrande (Ifop), yttrade sig den 28/3 2017 i en direktrsändning: ”För tre år sen var Emmanuel Macron helt okänd. Därefter har vi stegvis skapat en opinion, eller bättre sagt skapades det stegvis, så att han kom till den avgörande valomgången.” Sa Fourquet av misstag sanningen? Blev denna euforivåg om Macron alltså konstgjord inscenerat, för att installera en önskekandidat för etablissemanget? Faktum är att innan sin politiska karriär arbetade han för Rothschild- Investmentbank och deltog 2014 i en Bilderberger-konferens, en ort, där politiska och ekonomiska beslut görs i bakgrunden, utan kännedom för allmänheten.
