Government, Pharma and Media in Collusion – Interview with Dr. Mark Mc Donald (Part1)
Dr. Mark McDonald gave Kla.TV a great Interview in September of 2022. Listen to his analyses of the way government, media and industry are working together. What is their goal? What are their methods? Are there ways out of their control?
Interviewer: Dr. Mark McDonald, thank you very much for this interview today.
Dr. McDonald: Glad to be here.
Interviewer: Good. You were born and raised in Los Angeles.
Dr. McDonald: Yes.
Interviewer:
Now, some people say that world trends start in the United States, and they say that American trends begin in Los Angeles. You are a stone's throw, being in West Los Angeles, from what you could say would be the place where the Zeitgeist, the narrative is created, at least in Hollywood. What is it like living so close to that during this pandemic?
Dr. McDonald:
It’s sheer misery. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I’ve always loved the city. I’ve loved California. It has the best weather of any locale in the world, hands down, and I will argue to my death against anyone who disagrees with that. However, it’s always had a bit of a propensity to take on trends, and to be ironically a bit of a conformist culture. Particularly after the 1970s when the more conservative family-oriented, rebel, frontier mentality shifted into a more permanent east-coast-like way of being, and it simply continued ever since. This wasn’t a fatal flaw. I’ve always enjoyed the city and this state, even as I became more adult, but unfortunately everything that made L.A. and California thrive in those post-war Reagan years is gone. L.A. is basically a former shell of what it was before. It is living off of its past successes. It's driving itself on fumes and the people here are simply producing derivative work. There are no good movies, there is no good music, there is no good food, there is terrible traffic as well as horrible infrastructure problems, crime, safety. Politics is a disaster. There is a Democrat super majority in the state. The city and county are run by Democrats and actual Marxists. There is a woman who is going to be elected in the fall who is a Marxist, self-described, who will be very likely the next mayor of Los Angeles. So all of these problems have combined into making this place a real cesspool for the last three years. It is really a sad and despairing place to live. It reminds me of what you would expect if you were to go into an amusement park when all the lights came up and all of the staff left and you just see dirt and trash on the ground and all of the magic and the mystery is now exposed to the light of day. And what you’re witnessing is not the fantasy anymore, it’s not tomorrow-land, it’s really just another clunky, mechanical stop-gap for people to find a way out of their day-to-day tedium. And that’s kind of what L.A. and California have become. It’s sad to say that but that’s what I believe is the case.
Interviewer:
Yes, you mentioned the changes that have taken place right here. Wasn’t L.A. and Southern California kind of a balancer with San Francisco to the north many years ago in terms of – I mean it was never super-conservative here I guess, but San Francisco has always been sort of more to the left – wasn’t there sort of a north and south California dichotomy in the balance? And it seems today that L.A. and San Francisco have done the hard left move.
Dr. McDonald:
There is no conservative urban area left in California. All of the conservative population lives out in the suburbs or in the central valley or to some degree in rural Orange County. But there really is no large city in California that we consider conservative in my view. Up north during the 70s, 80s, 90s San Francisco and San Luis Obispo and the upper coastal district was more of a hippie zone and an art colony. There was some leftie activism but it was more of a curiosity than a movement. Well, two years ago Esalen, which is the premier retreat vegan pro-eco spiritual colony community that was an outgrowth of the 1960s and is still in existence off of Highway 1 although it was cut off about a year and a half after a huge mudslide which essentially shut it down. It reopened after 2020 at some point – I don’t know exactly when – and to the great ironic consternation of most of the true liberals, not the leftists, but the true liberals, all of the retreats, all of the talks, all of the access to Esalen required vaccines and masks. This is Esalen. This is the beginning of the counter-culture. And Esalen now has joined in with the conformist, national, globalist community to require that one submit one’s body to the state which is the exact opposite of what it was founded upon. This, I think, is a great example of how Northern California has entrenched itself – not in a kind of counter-culture – but in an actual pro, support of the dominant culture movement in the last few years. L.A. is just kind of a lost zone. It went from conservative to just being basically superficial entertainment driven and money focused.
Interviewer:
Yes, and does it strike the progressives at all ironic that not only are they in line with the dominant culture – they are in line with the dominant corporate culture which they were supposed to be against years ago? I remember once my friend handed me a book called “The Corporation” which was all about the terrible things about a corporation. But now, hey, Pfizer, Moderna, the Big Pharma, they’re all behind it.
Dr. McDonald:
This is something that I focused on in my book in November 2021 called “United States of Fear”. And I outlined this evil triumvirate, this cabal, this collusive relationship that has developed. And I think it has developed quite quietly and surreptitiously over many years. I admit I was unaware of it until three years ago. But it became quite obvious after Spring of 2020 that corporations and government and media are all working together. And when I say “government” I’m primarily focusing on the Democrat National Party. There are Republicans who have joined this corporatist movement as well and pro-censorship, pro-propaganda media movement, but it is largely speaking a Democrat Party that is holding this relationship together and I say that because in the last three years it’s the Democrat Party that has been pulling the strings for all of the major social media corporations including Facebook which Marc Zuckerberg went out on Joe Rogan recently and openly admitted that he had been driven by recommendations by the Biden administration to shut down any stories about the Hunter Biden laptop before the last presidential election. So, this is not a just political movement – it is a political from one side movement. And the corporations which are also very media-driven are involved. The pharmaceutical corporations, for example, are following the lead of the government administrations like all of the three letter CDC, and NIH, and law enforcement such as the FBI and the DOJ that have all told them that, for example, you should not allow prescriptions for Hydroxychloroquine or Ivermectin to be filled by practicing physicians for any reason. This occurred about a year and a half ago. And then of course the media joined in to help push that ban and support it as something that is protecting health and safety. And then the government puts up ads that are anti-prescription on those social media accounts, such as the ad that came up by the CDC about a year ago with the picture of a horse on Twitter stating “Stop pushing horse dewormer. You are not a horse!” Now if this is not a prime example of the intersection of government, pharmaceutical corporation and media, I don’t know what it is. And we’ve just been going down this road ever since.
Interviewer:
Right. And that reminds me of the use of the word “fascism”. It seems like one side has been using that word as a synonym for a political movement they don’t like, or a political thinking they don’t like. But if you look at the original definition it’s the corporate and government confluence working together. That was the Mussolini definition of fascism, and that’s what’s going on now.
Dr. McDonald:
That’s what the big irony is. Joe Biden, our current president, has been using the term “semi-fascist” now for the last six months to describe essentially political opposition.
Interviewer: Right.
Dr. McDonald:
Those who vote for Donald Trump, those who are Republican, those who are Conservative, those who oppose him - even if they are Democrats or Libertarians or some other party, when if you look at the actual decision-making-policies by the current administration it falls directly within the classic definition of fascism which is the merger of government and corporation. It is not communism, it is not the taking-over of industry by the government; it is government and industry working hand-in-hand to support one another to a corrupt end. Reducing competition, using subsidies, playing favorites – that’s exactly what’s been going on ever since Donald Trump left office. So, this is not even a matter of debate or argument or opinion. Objectively speaking, we are living in a quasi-fascist state. But it is not from Republicans, Conservatives, and Donald Trump. It is from primarily the Democrats. Whereas if you look back under the Trump administration we were heading in the opposite direction: low interest rates, free markets, the ability for people to have the right to work and not be controlled by labor unions, hands off government and corporations, allow the corporations that are successful to thrive and flourish, and allow those that aren’t to go bankrupt. This is just such an inversion to me of the use of language which I speak about frequently in “The Psychiatrist”. I like to write, I like to speak, and I think language is the start of control, compliance, and a huge tool of propaganda. And if we don’t focus on language and defining terms – “What is a fascist?”, “What is left?”, “What is liberal?” – then we can’t even have a conversation, and then our minds start to be literally controlled by government and media who have redefined words, basic words. Merriam’s Webster Dictionary, for example, online, two months ago they put up a definition for the word “male”. It used to be “a creature or being that has male-reproductive capacity and gametes” Something very biological. And now it’s defined as “a person who holds a gender identity opposite to female”. Literally just in the last two months the word changed after hundreds of years. So, yes, all of this is important, all of this is critical. Our thinking and our words and our language, and our use of ideas is really at the root of our problem. We can chase votes, we can chase money, we can go after institutions and people in power but as one of my favorite’s radio show hosts likes to say, Denis Prager, it's not about Biden, it’s not about Kamala Harris, it’s not about any single Democrat. It’s about the ideas behind this party which are inherently leftist. And if we don’t go after the ideas through language we’ll just keep getting this pop-up of another person. It’s like Whack-a-Mole. It will never end.
Interviewer:
Right. And speaking of some of the wacky ideas or the wacky new words they’ve introduced into our language – I have a little story from Seattle. My brother has a friend, divorced his wife, they had kids, he’d married again a much younger woman, totally schooled in the leftie-Seattle-San-Francisco way, and he is going for a visitation. He wants to pick up his son. His son is now about 14 years old. And he says to his son, “Hey John, you’re getting tall, Buddy!”, slaps him on the back, and his wife – I want to say you are not going to believe this but I’m sure you’ll believe it, right? His wife pulls him aside later and says, “Don’t say that!”. “Say what?” “Don’t tell him he’s tall.” And he’s like, “What are you talking about?” She says, “That’s heightism! That’s heightism. That means being short is not good.” This kind of craziness, have you seen stuff like this down here?
Dr. McDonald: If you win then someone loses.
Interviewer: Right.
Dr. McDonald:
And if you don’t have losers then you don’t have winners. So, the only way to eliminate short people is to eliminate tall people. In the Japanese language which I studied in college there are two ways to show respect. One is to elevate the other, and the second is to diminish yourself. So, if someone is standing in front of you and you are taller than him, you can either put him on a box or you can dig a hole and stand in it. And this is how the Japanese language works at its core level. We don’t really use those forms of honorifics and deminifics in English to the degree that they do in Japan and in the Japanese language. But here in the U.S. we are moving towards this hyper-egalitarian, forced, so-called equality or equity model which diminishes or even removes the possibility of achievement. And we do that because in my view we are more concerned with feelings than we are with reality. I don’t believe that we can survive and flourish as a nation if the only thing that replaces our priority is how somebody feels. And the reason for this is very simply actually. Reality and living in reality and being alive creates difficult feelings. And there is no way to keep one from feeling these feelings other than death. And so what we are telling our young people and our children as they come into the office and I hear the parents talking with them, the kid will pull out a device like an iPad, and I will say, “Turn it off.” I just had this occur a few days ago. A girl came in, she acts out, she fights, she uses devices all day long, she’s a weaponizer of social media. She’s got into a lot of trouble and the police were called recently because she started screaming and threatening suicide, and also threatening to kill someone. She’s not going to do that, but this is how she creates drama. And she sat down immediately I said to her, “So has there been anymore disciplinary proceedings, law enforcement interventions or drug use?” and she got angry with me. She said, ”Don’t say that. That’s disrespectful. That makes me feel bad.” And I looked at her in the face and I said, “I don’t care how it makes you feel.” I said, “If this does not shift and change you’ll be either in prison or dead in the next two years because you are going to go to college in Chicago and no one’s going to be supervising you.” She stared at me and gasped. No one had told her this before and she got up and she walked out of my office and she slammed the door. And I told her mother who was sitting in the room. I said, “You and your husband, you need to issue and enforce an intervention in the next three months before this girl goes to college in January because if you don’t you will lose her. And you will lose her to crime, drugs, prostitution or death.” I said that and she was just shocked. She had never thought about the possibility that telling the truth and enforcing a harsh reality on someone rather than just making them feel better is actually the better route. And this is true in child psychiatry just as it’s true in sports, just as it’s true in media, corporations, food, everywhere you go. No matter what relationship you have, if you don’t acknowledge reality first and place feeling second, you will always in the long run have a weaker, more indulgent, more spoiled, and a less powerful person, and a less powerful society.
Interviewer:
When I hear anecdotes like these and other shocking anecdotes in your book I just… I hope that these are outliers. I'll give you one more story. I have a friend in Seattle who has – he lives in West Seattle, pretty progressive area of town, in a progressive city, and his daughter comes home from school one day and she says, “Well I guess I’m nothing special,” because they happened to have a day where they learned about LGBTQ, right. And the teacher was very positive about all these different ways of expressing your sexuality except for standard hetero. And this 7-year-old comes home and says this, “I guess I’m not worth much.” And I couldn’t believe it, but then he said something and he said, “Everyone of the parents of those kids at that school are liberal. They consider themselves progressive. And every single one of them hated it.” So there is some hope on that side. Do you see that here, too?
Dr. McDonald: Well, San Francisco voted out a local school board earlier this year, which was shocking to me. And all of the people that they voted out were childless individuals, some of them gay or lesbian activists with zero investment in the schools. If you don't have children, why are you on a school board? Mothers should be on the school board. If we had more investment among the people who were involved in the decision making, we'd have a shot at possibly, possibly writing these wrongs. So one thing that I have spoken about very frequently and vociferously in the last year and a half is that I admit I was wrong and many others were wrong three years ago. Right before, right after the presidential election, where we wrongly believed and assumed that from a top down approach we could solve America's problems and we placed a lot of hope, trust and confidence in one man, in Donald Trump. Now he did a great job. I think he was a phenomenal president, but he was attacked. He was hampered. He was undermined by his own people, by government agencies, by every single deep state group that came out of the woodwork, and he simply could not achieve everything he wanted to. He achieved a lot. But he actually could have achieved a lot more if he had had better support, better broad support. Now I believe that we have to do the opposite. We have to go ground up. Each individual person needs to become active, not at a national level, but at a local level. So mothers need to start running for school boards as they have, and as they have succeeded in Virginia and San Francisco, coast to coast. We need local parents and those invested in the community to run for County Board of Supervisors, for City Council. These smaller, seemingly unimportant and innocuous leadership groups and guidance groups, those are the ones that are making the decisions for whether or not we open businesses, whether our children can go to school, whether we have the right to tell people ‘hands off my child’. I'm not going to inject my boy with a toxic substance that's likely to harm him and is not going to help him. These decisions are not made by President Biden. They're made by the local, sometimes appointed, and usually elected by a 20-or 30-person margin, nobody in your local community. We have a woman named Barbara Ferrer in L.A. County who is the L.A. County Public Health Director. Nobody knew about her until three years ago. She looks like Cruella de Ville with curly long white hair. She's emaciated. She has a sub-par IQ, and she makes $600,000 a year. She has a degree in social work. She's not a clinician. She is not a doctor. She and she alone has made decisions up until today on whether or not children can go outside and play basketball in public parks without a mask on. Or go to school. If one of their friends three days ago had a close contact with someone who was asymptomatic for the Wuhan virus, she's still doing this. And she's doing it because the L.A. Board of Supervisors, which is run by lefties and hyper-control freaks, have appointed her to that position. If we could overwhelm the Board of Supervisors with normal people, she would be gone in a moment. She now controls the lives of 9 million people, and she's, she’s unelected, so this is the kind of problem that we can only solve at a local level. We cannot solve this by changing Congress, changing a new president. It has to be done at a local level, and I would say to all Americans, if you want to see how to do this, if you want to see examples of this happening in real time, go look at Florida.
Florida from the ground up has been doing everything right. School boards, local office holders, appointees, local state attorney generals, the governor, from local to state level, every single decision that's been made and pushed, primarily by Governor Ron DeSantis, who's been really the leader of this state, has helped this state thrive in terms of safety, economics, politics, family, schools; everything they're doing is the right thing. It's the opposite of what's happening in California under Governor Gavin Newsom. So ground up, individual, local. Forget top down. That's over. Eventually the cream will rise and we'll get a better Congress, a better Senate, and a better president, but if you don't start from the day-to-day, then you're missing the big picture.
Interviewer:
Right. So you would state categorically, “People, stop waiting for change to come from national level politics. “
Dr. McDonald: Exactly.
Interviewer:
And for the people who are looking, let's say that people on the right who are looking for Trump to come back in 2024, I'm going to play a little devil's advocate here. He's still the father of the vaccine. He's still the… what you call the program of…
Dr. McDonald: …Warp Speed…
Interviewer: He's still Mr. Warp Speed. I think we should recognize that fact.
Dr. McDonald:
It's a very fair point and a fair criticism. Donald Trump has a weakness. And one of those weaknesses is that he is easily influenced by those around him. And he was influenced by Anthony Fauci and those that preceded him in the cohort positions, as well as advisors who were thinking in place of him. And they were not thinking of him. They were not thinking of the American people. And he unfortunately acceded to their requests. Now, had he not, had he pushed back, would he have survived? Were there perhaps forces that we’re not even aware of now, but that he knew about? Because everything he said turned out to be true. I mean, he's a prescient man. I'm not under investigation by the FBI, hired by the acolytes of Obama and Hilary. Everybody laughed at him. Are you crazy? You're persecuted. You've got a paranoid complex. All of it turned out to be demonstrably true, and everything else that he said and discussed before and after the election. So is it possible that he made these compromises because he knew that he had no other choice? I don't know. I don't know the answer to that, but I'm certainly sympathetic to the fact that the power against him was so overwhelming, the magnifying glasses that were shining on him were burning so brightly that he didn't have the freedom of movement that someone like Obama and Hilary and Biden have had as senator, as vice president, as president where they just snapped their fingers and everyone falls in line. Trump had to amass tremendous support and strength to get even small things passed. So although it's a fair criticism to make that he did push through Warp Speed and the vaccines, I am not yet convinced that it was done with a corrupt motive. I think that he made perhaps a naive, foolhardy and overly trusting decision, but I don't believe that he wanted Americans to die. I do believe that Anthony Fauci and others have wanted Americans to die. I do believe that they are sociopaths. I do believe that they have sacrificed knowingly the lives of millions of Americans for their own benefit, for their own power, for their own economic aggrandizement, and perhaps, perhaps to complete a internationalist fabric that will line up all countries in the world under one small group of powerful individuals. I can't prove that, but I think there's a lot of unconnected dots that seem to point in that direction.
Interviewer:
Mmh. OK, if we could change gears a little bit, I'd like to talk about your writing, your publications. You have two recent books out and also you're a writer on Substack and what a wonderful format Substack is. How long do you think they're going to last as a… as a… not doing what YouTube and Facebook and the rest of them do?
Dr. McDonald:
It's a very fair question because almost every single entity that allows for social media or longer length publication like Substack does has been undermined by the left. There's almost no examples of small apps or corporations that have not been punctured and penetrated by the left because it just… it's such a powerful force that can be mustered and focused upon growing threats. So to some degree, companies like say Twitter or Facebook or more recently, WhatsApp, and perhaps now even Rumble and Substack, the extent that they have been infiltrated and undermined is a telltale sign of the degree of their threat. And that threat is information, truth, open format, discussion, critiques, everything that opposes the left. You know, the left as an ideology, is violently opposed to any form of free speech, because that's the most potent weapon that one has against the left. That's why no dictatorship in history has ever allowed for free speech, primarily the left-wing dictatorships, because they know how dangerous that is. Substack is an amazing free speech forum. Alex Berenson is one example. He has reached millions of Americans on Substack after he was canceled on Twitter for misinformation by basically just repeating and reporting on various medical publications and data stats and graphs that have been put out around the world for the last few years. I have been publishing on Substack now since December of 2021, pretty much weekly.
Interviewer: And the name of your Substack is “Dissident MD”.
Dr. McDonald:
Dissident MD… and I did that and I chose that name because I feel that when you offer a countervailing opinion to the mainstream, you immediately become a dissident. You're branded as a, perhaps a heretic. Because I do see this as a religious movement. It's a secular movement, but it is religious. So dissident is an opposing secular point of view, and a heretic is an opposing …
Interviewer: Heretic MD.
Dr. McDonald:
I can be Heretic MD as well as Dissident MD. And I began that program, that process, because even though books are important and I just published another book recently called “Freedom From Fear”, which is a great example of the promulgation of my new philosophy of going ground up rather than top down, fixing your problem first, instead of moving forward, I also go into detail on specific subjects weekly on my Substack.
Interviewer:
Great. Yes. And I'd like to talk about “Freedom From Fear”, but back to Substack. Your second to last article was fantastic. Could you tell us a little about… speaking of Heretic MD, tell us a little bit about the shocking possibility of a law that's going to muzzle you, here in California.
Dr. McDonald:
This article I wrote about regarding the Misinformation Bill, Medical Misinformation Bill, AB 2098, Assembly Bill 2098 out of the State of California legislature in Sacramento will legally, if it is signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom, and it's still on his desk, and he hasn't yet signed it, but if it's signed into law, it will legally ban free speech by physicians in a professional context.
Interviewer:
Give me an example of what you might say that this new law would ban.
Dr. McDonald:
Providing mRNA injections, which are called vaccines -inappropriately - to children should be considered malpractice and should be banned because there is no possible benefit to the child and there is only harm, a lot of it documented. That statement that I am medically opposed on a medical, ethical and moral basis to giving injections to children of mRNA therapeutics, that statement puts me at odds with the official position of the State and the Medical Board of California. And theoretically, if they chose to, the California Medical Board could suspend my license for saying that either to a patient or on a social media platform. Now they restricted the law. It was revised to only include communication between a doctor and a patient, as if that's an improvement, because now you're basically making it impossible to have a confidential doctor-patient relationship. But this doesn't solve the problem of the social media post misinformation campaign, because what's going to happen is you're going to get shill patients showing up who've read your social media posts saying vaccine should be banned for children. This specific vaccine, non vaccine vaccine. And they're going to come in and say, “Doctor, I want to bring my child to see, you know. He's unvaccinated. Is that okay?” And then you're going to say, “Well, not only is it okay, I wouldn't support any child from getting an mRNA shot. And I'm glad that you made that choice. And please continue to protect your child from these toxins.” And that would, of course be recorded or noted by the shill patient who would then go back to the state and say, “I'm a patient of doctor Mark McDonald and he is opposing sound medical advice and putting children in harm's way. I want to file a complaint.” And then the California Medical Board would say. “Thank you very much. We're going to investigate. We'll send the investigation unit out and we'll have his medical license suspended.” That's exactly what's going to happen. And once that happens with two or three doctors, guess what will happen? Every other doctor in the state will fall in line. They will no longer speak. There will be a true silencing effect. And after two to four years, when the law is overturned after multiple appeals, perhaps to the Supreme Court on constitutional grounds, the job will be done. California will have gotten all the doctors to toe the line and you will never have any more dissent out of the medical establishment, the MD establishment here in the state of California, and that's what I wrote about in my recent Substack and I also stated that despite the fact that the bill has not been signed into law, I am already under investigation by the California Medical Board for a social media post that I apparently put out over a year ago. I don't know what it was because they won't tell me, but apparently I posted something related to vaccines, mass school closures, etc. that was anonymously reported by a non-patient. And now the Medical Board is using that as a rationale to send an investigator to interview me to see if I'm spreading medical misinformation, so I am currently under investigation, even pre-law, for doing nothing other than telling the truth.
Interviewer:
And I think the people who put forward these laws have lost the essence of what free speech is. It is being allowed to say something that could even be false in your opinion. Now you’ve happened to think that the mRNA vaccines are dangerous and you make a statement. You say so. But I'm sure you are not for muzzling people who think they're correct or for people who think other medical procedures are correct, when you disagree with them. Any medical opinion should be able to be aired.
Dr. McDonald:
The only way to establish veracity of opinion is to test opinions, and the only way to test opinions is to have a debate, and you can't have a debate if half of the side has been banned from the debate. That's no longer a debate. I mean the essence of free speech is that… the reason, the only reason to have a constitutional right to free speech is to protect speech that pisses you off and that you dislike because if you don't have that included then you don't need a constitutional amendment. We don't need an amendment to the Constitution to protect love speech. We need an amendment to protect hate speech. And we need the right as physicians to be able to express opinions that are not only contrary to the prevailing view, but might even be deemed offensive, so that others can come and say, “This is why you're wrong, “ and then we can be, if we are wrong, offer the opportunity to correct our views or to be humiliated and expunged from the professional community on a voluntary basis, because what we're saying is absolutely ridiculous. But that has, that process has to be allowed to occur because as soon as you start to curate medical opinions and you don't allow the sunlight of open debate and discourse to solve that problem, just like not allowing stores to fail - because they don't provide a good service - but propping them up and giving them money, which is the fascist definition of an economic system - now suddenly you end up having less efficient, less successful, less competitively oriented business establishments. The same issue, the same thing applies with speech and it applies just as much in medicine as it does with any other profession. Once you tell doctors that they have to be careful about what they say, lest it differ from the established view by a… primarily a group of non physician attorneys and administrative staff at a board up in Sacramento, now medicine is over. Now we cannot progress, we cannot even allow for the possibility of moving forward, moving out of the current paradigm and making new discoveries. Because every new discovery challenges the paradigm. If we had tossed out the man a hundred years ago who told his surgical staff to wash their hands in between surgeries because there's this thing called bacteria that we can't see that are making people sick. And everybody said this guy's nuts. He's telling us this invisible force is causing people to be sick. What a moron. If he had not been allowed to speak and to document the tremendous decrease in surgical complications by simple hand washing, we wouldn't have even known that there is this thing called bacteria that were causing infection. And he was a wack job back then, according to the common view.
Interviewer:
Right, right. It's like they want to freeze things as they are right now. Well, if you froze things back when we bloodlet people, then we'd be in that era even today.
Dr. McDonald: Yes.

Interviewer: Dr. Mark McDonald, thank you very much for this interview today. Dr. McDonald: Glad to be here. Interviewer: Good. You were born and raised in Los Angeles. Dr. McDonald: Yes. Interviewer: Now, some people say that world trends start in the United States, and they say that American trends begin in Los Angeles. You are a stone's throw, being in West Los Angeles, from what you could say would be the place where the Zeitgeist, the narrative is created, at least in Hollywood. What is it like living so close to that during this pandemic? Dr. McDonald: It’s sheer misery. Interviewer: Yes, you mentioned the changes that have taken place right here. Wasn’t L.A. and Southern California kind of a balancer with San Francisco to the north many years ago in terms of – I mean it was never super-conservative here I guess, but San Francisco has always been sort of more to the left – wasn’t there sort of a north and south California dichotomy in the balance? And it seems today that L.A. and San Francisco have done the hard left move. Dr. McDonald: There is no conservative urban area left in California. Interviewer: Yes, and does it strike the progressives at all ironic that not only are they in line with the dominant culture – they are in line with the dominant corporate culture which they were supposed to be against years ago? I remember once my friend handed me a book called “The Corporation” which was all about the terrible things about a corporation. But now, hey, Pfizer, Moderna, the Big Pharma, they’re all behind it. Dr. McDonald: This is something that I focused on in my book in November 2021 called “United States of Fear”. Interviewer: Right. Dr. McDonald: That’s what the big irony is. Joe Biden, our current president, has been using the term “semi-fascist” now for the last six months to describe essentially political opposition. Interviewer: Right. Dr. McDonald: Those who vote for Donald Trump, those who are Republican, those who are Conservative, those who oppose him - even if they are Democrats or Libertarians or some other party, when if you look at the actual decision-making-policies by the current administration it falls directly within the classic definition of fascism which is the merger of government and corporation. Interviewer: Right. Dr. McDonald: And if you don’t have losers then you don’t have winners. Interviewer: When I hear anecdotes like these and other shocking anecdotes in your book I just… I hope that these are outliers. Interviewer: Right. So you would state categorically, “People, stop waiting for change to come from national level politics. “ Dr. McDonald: Exactly. Interviewer: And for the people who are looking, let's say that people on the right who are looking for Trump to come back in 2024, I'm going to play a little devil's advocate here. He's still the father of the vaccine. He's still the… what you call the program of… Dr. McDonald: …Warp Speed… Interviewer: He's still Mr. Warp Speed. I think we should recognize that fact. Dr. McDonald: It's a very fair point and a fair criticism. Dr. McDonald: Dissident MD… and I did that and I chose that name because I feel that when you offer a countervailing opinion to the mainstream, you immediately become a dissident. You're branded as a, perhaps a heretic. Because I do see this as a religious movement. It's a secular movement, but it is religious. So dissident is an opposing secular point of view, and a heretic is an opposing … Interviewer: Heretic MD. Dr. McDonald: I can be Heretic MD as well as Dissident MD. Interviewer: Great. Yes. And I'd like to talk about “Freedom From Fear”, but back to Substack. Your second to last article was fantastic. Could you tell us a little about… speaking of Heretic MD, tell us a little bit about the shocking possibility of a law that's going to muzzle you, here in California. Dr. McDonald: This article I wrote about regarding the Misinformation Bill, Medical Misinformation Bill, AB 2098, Assembly Bill 2098 out of the State of California legislature in Sacramento will legally, if it is signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom, and it's still on his desk, and he hasn't yet signed it, but if it's signed into law, it will legally ban free speech by physicians in a professional context. Interviewer: Give me an example of what you might say that this new law would ban. Dr. McDonald: Providing mRNA injections, which are called vaccines -inappropriately - to children should be considered malpractice and should be banned because there is no possible benefit to the child and there is only harm, a lot of it documented. Interviewer: And I think the people who put forward these laws have lost the essence of what free speech is. Dr. McDonald: The only way to establish veracity of opinion is to test opinions, and the only way to test opinions is to have a debate, and you can't have a debate if half of the side has been banned from the debate. Interviewer: Right, right. It's like they want to freeze things as they are right now. Well, if you froze things back when we bloodlet people, then we'd be in that era even today. Dr. McDonald: Yes.
